The (Seed) Enterprise Investment Scheme is a great way to enhance your prospects of getting equity funding for your business. Here’s how it works:
- You can apply for advanced assurance for one or both schemes before you start fundraising to give confidence to potential investors that your company qualifies.
- Once an investment has been made and shares issued, you can notify HMRC and apply for company clearance to issue investor (S)EIS certificates.
- You give the certificates to your investors so they can make their tax claim under the scheme.
